The National Agricultural Aviation Museum
The National Agricultural Aviation Museum located on 39 acres serves as a tribute to the flyers that crop dusting originated with. It features aircraft and equipment used for crop dusting in the early times.

Smith Robertson Museum
Originally, this building housed Jackson's first African-American public school. Today it is a museum featuring a large collection of civil rights movement memorabilia. The Smith Robertson Museum is closed on Sundays.

Margaret Walker Alexander National Research Center
Purveyors of cultural artifacts from the Mississippi area, this facility is situated in Jackson. This museum and research center collects and displays personal manuscripts, records and photographs. A gift shop is located in the building.

Old Capitol Museum of Mississippi History
Featuring exhibits that outline the history of Jackson ranging from the colonial period through to the Civil Rights Movement. The Old Capitol building itself is an attraction with its Greek Revival architecture and it is also listed as a National Historic Landmark. Lectures and self-guided tours are avaialble.

Mississippi Museum of Natural Science
Featuring both indoor and outdoor exhibits, the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science hosts a variety of Mississippi's living organisms. Included in the exhibits, visitors will discover a 100,000 gallon aquarium, a greenhouse, a native plant garden and a large natural area.
